Our Visit to Perlethorpe

Perlethorpe from Heather Sharpe on Vimeo.

Early Years had a wonderful (if not a little wet) Monday at Perlethorpe, exploring the tale of the Three Little Pigs and enjoying some time in the woods.
We started our day learning about the story of the three little pigs and the BIG BAD wolf, keeping our eyes open for a straw house, a wooden house and finally a brick house. The children dressed up and acted out the story brilliantly. Next, we learnt about the Three Billy Goats and the nasty Troll who lived under the bridge. We used our quiet feet to make it over the bridge without waking the troll. After lunch we really enjoyed exploring the environment, making potions and homes for a range of woodland animals.

We hope you enjoy our video (apologies for the lack of audio in between clips) and we can’t wait to share more of our learning with you soon. Keep an eye out in the school hallway for our mark making display (coming soon), which will be inspired by todays trip and showcase the development of mark making throughout EYFS.

Welcome Back! :)

We are so excited to open the doors tomorrow morning and welcome back so many smiling and enthusiastic little faces, ready to dive head first into the next adventure in their learning journey. We can’t wait for the year ahead and all the wonderful things it no doubt has in store.

EYFS newsletter and event information coming soon!
